Twenty five little milligrams.
Apparently make a big difference. I am not myself. I canNOT wait until this medication realigns itself in my neurons. I am afraid to take my walk, because I don't want to be flopping like a fish in traffic, you know, if it were going to happen anyway.
But, the extra medicine is messing with my head. I feel a leetle bit stoopid and forgetful, more than usual. I am always forgetful, but this is ridiculous. I can't imagine if I had actual duties to fulfill.

I so understand the brain melt... I have been thru a few seizure meds for headaches, and Dopeymax was the worst. Hope it gets better soon!

Hey Beth,
Just wanted to share with you that I took Topomax pre-op for migraines. I did lose about 20 pounds or so while on it. Weight loss is a positive side effect of the drug but it has some negatives. I experienced severe pins and needles in my hands and feet and vision abnormalities (light trails when going from a dark room to light) very very trippy when it first happens something I'm sure people pay big bucks for in places like Amsterdam. Just be careful night driving. When you are able to get in that new vehicle of yours. They also nickname the drug (dopomax) because while on it some people have difficulty finding the right word. I had severe migraines and it did reduce them dramatically!! I was weaned off it before surgery and have decided to do without it. Too expensive and no insurance.

What's your dose? I am on 50mg 2x a day. Sorry you are having the side effects, that sucks. I just have the weird tingles in the feet and hands and cannot drink and form of carbonated because it makes them taste like metal.

I'm taking 75 mgs. 2 x's a day. I understand it's still a pretty low dose, but I react to *everything.* I had the pins and needles at the 50 mg. 2 x's a day dose, but the brain melt started with this extra pill.
It's not so much trippy as it is just plain stupid.
