Wynonna Judd is now a spokesperson for alli weight loss. I saw the commercial this morning during a talk-show, and she says she can use it "around her schedule," and I think we both know what that means.
You may experience bowel changes when taking Alli. Ads and marketing materials refer to these changes as "treatment effects." These side effects can include:
These bowel changes result from the undigested fat going through your digestive system. If you are a WLS'er - DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. PRODUCT.
Now that Glaxo-SmithKline has already been to the blog: Let's get this out of the way. MM Took This Product. (BEFORE I RE-ARRANGED MY BOWELS WITH SURGICAL METHODS.) It works. I pooped my colon inside out and stained the bowl orange. Tasty! Mr. MM also took it with more, intense! results. I may have suggested feminine protection.
Says Mayo:
Don't take Alli if you:
The drug also may pose risks for anyone who takes blood-thinning medication or has diabetes or thyroid disease.
Orlistat decreases the absorption of certain fat-soluble vitamins â for example, vitamins A, D and E. If you're taking Alli, you need to take a daily vitamin supplement (at a time different from when you take Alli) to prevent potential nutrient deficiencies.
OMG, 22 pounds, and "no surgery?!" Please. We could poop out 22 lbs in a couple weeks. Why the "surgery" comments?
"Candace Cameron explains in the newest issue of Us Weekly how she went from what she calls a "chubby" child star to a hot mom of three!
The former Full House actress, 32, lost 22 pounds without the typical Hollywood help: trainers, surgery or a special diet prepared by a chef. Those perks, she says, are "not realistic" for most people, and she credits her own change in eating and exercise for her change.
Cameron - who currently weighs 110 pounds, and is "5'2" - says she began putting pressure on herself to lose weight as a teenager on the set of Full House.
"Then when I was 16, I filmed an episode of Full House where my family goes to Disney World. I remember putting on baggy overalls just to hide my stomach," she says. "When I watched it, I was pretty disappointed and bummed out looking at myself...I didn't feel good about my own body."
It's my first visit to Oprah Winfrey's "Weight Loss" page on her website.
I am greeted by a banner ad and sidebar ad for the Realize Band.
I am very used to this ad, I see it everywhere. It is one of those ads that seems to be everywhere I go - because of the brain flow of topics I read about in the course of the day.
I think I even saw that lovely red haired girl on MySpace yesterday - or was it Facebook? I don't know - regardless - she's everywhere - and she wants me - to Get A Band. It's in my head.
Now Oprah, who has trainers, cooks and people waiting on her hand foot and mouth - has said this:
"I'm mad at myself (because I've) fallen off the wagon."
GAH. DIETS DON'T WORK.
"I'm embarrassed ⦠I can't believe that after all these years, all the
things I know how to do, I'm still talking about my weight. I look at
my thinner self and think, 'How did I let this happen again?' "
Ricki Lake lost nearly half of her body weight. This is no small feat. She should be commended for that.
But, says she:
"I can't believe I was a fat person for most of my life." I know, because fat people are so, icky! (Facetious.)
"I didn't have surgery and I worked hard. There's no secret. I'm active. I watch what I eat," (Surgery is the easy way out. I know this for a fact. Also, totally facetious.)
"I'm just grateful that I have sons and not daughters because it's that much harder," she says.
(Three girls, one boy here, what?)
"Something tragic in my life could happen and I could balloon and gain weight. I can't promise I will be like this forever." I guess she is realistic enough to know that most people who diet, fail. But, honey, it does not have to be TRAGIC. The sudden stop of the organic food delivery to your home - may be tragic enough.
Jennifer Lopez completed the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday, only seven months after the birth of her twins. She raised $127,000 for the Childrenâs Hospital of L.A., of the $950,000 total monies raised.
That is a serious accomplishment, even if she is a celebrity and has trainers at her disposal. In fact, she was named Self Magazines' Most Inspiring Woman of 2008.
In this clip she discusses her thoughts about nutrition and her kids:
Another before and after. A girl you love to hate?
Last year's VMA awards show a wobbly Britney with bad lip-syncing:
This year, as she wins like, the whole show, but doesn't perform, I totally have "Piece of Me" on my iPod, it's great for walking, note Britney, picking her ass in front of the mirror-wall:
"They said some rude, mean things, but that's not why I wanted to change," Sure.
Hewitt, who has modeled for Hanes, explains, "I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image."
She adds, "A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful. ⦠To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini â put it on and stay strong."
She's human. We're all human.
After these photos were taken of Jennifer Love Hewitt in Hawaii, she wrote this at her blog:
"This is the last time I will address this subject.
I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.
A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful.
What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body."
I never once considered Ms. Hewitt fat. I was always distracted by her big boobs. I had noted, that she wears super flouncy clothing on The Ghost Whisperer, apparently to hide those baby-makin' hips. I would have guessed she was more along the lines of a size eight. (She says two, but it doesn't matter in the least.) I'm just glad to see celebrities looking, well. a lot like us. :)
'bout time, Star.

"I wrote an article because I really wanted to go as in-depth as possible about the way I've changed physically over the last 10 years on the air," Reynolds, 45, said recently while promoting her new Court TV (soon to be truTV) talk show. "And I thought that that would be the most effective way to answer everybody's questions. Her article, "Getting Over Myself," will be featured in the September issue, on newsstands Aug. 7, a representative for Glamour said Monday.
I need to tell you. I love(d) this woman, regardless of what you think of her/thought of her back in the "Stop The Insanity" she's got some real points, and tells 'em to us straight, no bullpoop. I like that in a woman. Rawr.

From the New York Post today:
"IS Courtney Love not telling the whole truth about her dramatic weight loss? Love insists her fabulous new figure is due to diet and exercise, but a friend said, "She's telling people she got the gastric band surgery. She even said she had to sleep with a towel by her because the surgery makes her [vomit] all the time and is worried she won't be able to make out with anyone because of her breath." But a rep for Love, who says she's dragged him to healthy macrobiotic restaurants, insists, "Not true. She says she never got surgery." Either way, she looks great."
Ugh. Was she really all that big to begin with?
