Even with a few miniature traumas  (Toni Lee + a curb = broken toes, although that's the story we are making up...) all-in-all it was another great event and lots of lifelong memories were made.

Fitbloggin' 2012 and the balls of other women that I do not have. Thank you!

I spent last weekend at fitbloggin' 2012.

Eggface Melting mama at Fitbloggin 1
Michelle + I at fitbloggin 2012

I have yet to write about the event in full, however I just caught this mini-clip on line of the Zumba group instruction.

I was there in this group - yet you will note that yours truly was not dressed for the occasion and sat out. I may have boogied a bit, but stood on the sidelines and simply photographed.

I stood in AWE of these women -- these two on stage who I do not know until this event -- both of whom are at stages of my prior size who OWN THEIR SHIT.

I was a little more than moved by them.  I might have been a little... sigh.  That's all I got.

Michelle and I watched the entire class a while and both sort of slinked back to the back of the room and became wallflowers.  I asked Michelle, "Where do we go to buy that kind of confidence?"

I have never had CONFIDENCE of any sort to That Level -- and I have a certain Level Of It (I have, some, more than many people, but not that much?) she even has Some in more ways than I do!  Even the two of us combined that THAT ROOM could not do what these women were doing.

It was clear that #1 - IT IS NOT ABOUT BODY SHAPE or SIZE AT ALL.

Confidence is a very different animal, unrelated to your body/shape or a number on a scale.  Weight loss doesn't necessarily change that.  It's inside you.

-Skinny Emmie and Mrs. Fat Ass

I applaud Roni and fitbloggin' for making THAT apparent -- because the curvy girls were in force this year.  Rock on.  *RAWR*

PS.  Next year, fitbloggin' 2013 - PORTLAND!

Getting on the big train to fitbloggin' 2012!

Logo12

...and I cannot wait to go.    I went to fitbloggin' in 2010 for it's first year, missed last year ...

And, thanks to Big Train, I'm able to get there this year!  Woot!

As it was said, "I didn't know you liked country music."

Um, YEAH!?

Much more to follow, posts about the event, the vendors, the amazingness, and lots of photos -- I am uploading now.  Tag yourself on Facebook, tag me, tag whatever you want.

#WLSFA2012 We Are ON Our Way With Wellesse! Oh, and YAY!

This time tomorrow, after the longest flights ever and at least two Ativans, Mr. MM and I will be at Bally's Las Vegas for the Weight Loss Surgery Foundation of America Meet and Greet!

This is my third time visiting Las Vegas, as I have been fortunate to attend in 2010 for ASMBS with ObesityHelp.com and Celebrate Vitamins, and in 2011 to represent the Bariatric Bad Girls Club at the last WLSFA Event.  But this is the first time I have been able to bring a Mr. MM to Vegas, AND one of my VIP BBGs!

Squee.

I will be helping Wellesse promote their line of premium liquid vitamin supplementation in the vendor area - as well as to love on all the vendors including lots of MM blog sponsors!

Um, BECAUSE YAY VENDORS!  THEY ARE ALL IN ONE PLACE AND OMG OMG OMG, VEGAS AGAIN AND MORE BBGS and OMG YAY!

Alright.  I'm better now.  Mostly.

Thank-you Wellesse for making it possible to go to Vegas and be with all my WLS pals, so that we can raise some SERIOUS CASH for the WLSFA.

EES + OAC Event

Next month, on April 14-15, I'll be joining some of my peers in New York City for an event sponsored by Ethicon Endo-Surgery and the Obesity Action Coalition.

We'll hear and learn about -

This is a great opportunity for us, as bloggers to learn, and for the industry to learn from US.    I'm excited because it's not often that an event is created to discuss these topics, from this aspect, the blogger side, the writer's side.

*This event is sponsored by Ethicion Endo-Surgery and the OAC, and my expenses for this trip have been covered in full.

Thank you.

NYC - 2009 - My photo

Awkward segue -

This makes the opportunity to meet some BBGC's in person in NYC!  I haven't been to New York since fall 2009, when I took a super-fast-run through the city for photos during a Obesity Help.com event.

At this point, several BBGC's have been invited to this event,  and why not meet you while we are already there?  Three of us are rooming together so far, we gave up our single rooms because, it's silly, we can share.   And, then there's always the cupcakes.  <g>

I've set up an impromptu event page, for a get together after the event with local friends.  If you're near NYC, let us know!

I guess I'll need some, shoes, too.
